I produce a radio programme in Brisbane, Australia for the ABC. On Friday (Brisbane time) we have a segment called 'Beyond our Backyard'. It's about Australian's who have gotten out of their comfort zone to live overseas.
Seen as this Friday is Remembrance Day, instead of going through the usual channels of finding people through mutual friends and listeners, I really wanted to talk to somebody who is living in modern day Turkey.
After a bit of investigating I found you through your blog!
Does this sound like something you would be interested in?
We would LOVE to talk to you about daily life in Turkey, how if differs from Australia. Is it restrictive? What are the good and bad parts of Turkey. How it is bringing a child up in the area? Work life. Social life. Are you going to stay there? Is it hard to get visa? Language barrier etc.
I know this is out of the blue but I hope it grabs your imagination and you agree.
With the time difference the interview would have to be pre-record Thursday night, your time, at about 9:30.
The interview would run on ABC local radio in Brisbane and we would post it online so your family and friends will be able to access it.
